Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
