The proposed measures, inspired by the more rigorous system implemented by the Danish administration, makes asylum approval conditional, restricts the review procedure and includes entry restrictions on countries that impede deportations.

Temporary Asylum Approvals

Individuals approved for protection in the UK will have permission to remain in the country on a provisional basis, with their status reviewed biannually.

The scheme mirrors the policy in that European nation, where protected persons get two-year permits and must request extensions when they expire.
