The debutant Challenged against the opposition's primary attacker through Hoxha. Played more centrally to begin with but moved wider after Saka was introduced. 7/10

John Stones Pushed forward with the ball at his feet, as he has done before. At times was too casual when carrying play with the approach abandoned after the break. Six

The tall defender A constant threat at set pieces, as always, perhaps is another option for Stones in defense rather than his partner. One wayward pass after the break almost led to a goal for the visitors. 6/10

The young full-back A further assured display from the rising star after his debut versus Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on full advantage of an exquisite backheel behind the opposing backline. The role is his to lose at this stage. 7/10

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning in an England shirt. A bit sloppy on the ball though his inswinging corners caused problems. An effective pace-controller available to the coach to utilize versus sides that sit back. Cautioned for a poorly timed tackle. 6

The midfielder Deliveries on corner kicks and set-plays created chances. Had license to roam in left midfield only to be offside upon receiving in shooting positions. Granted a well-earned substitution on the hour mark. 6

Jude Bellingham Operated in an advanced spot down the right and put in dirty work. Demonstrated flashes of quality and mishit an effort wide. Substituted towards the end for a teammate, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s top opening of the first half, his strike excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah staying deep, he had to offer an outlet down the right side although his balls from the touchline were inconsistent. Substituted with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The decisive figure netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes in an England shirt. His first a typical opportunist's goal and his next an excellent finish with his head after peeling away from his marker. At 32, his form is unwavering and England stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game out wide. Had a good opening after being played in by the midfielder but Strakosha kept it out. His replacement made much more of an impact in his place. 5/10
